Natalee Ryan (b. 1998 in Ogdensburg, New York) is a Brooklyn-based human with a lifelong tendency towards creation. With over 25 years of artistic experimentation in digital and physical mediums of all kinds, she currently finds herself drawn to expressing herself through oil painting, music production, website design, and letter-writing to loved ones. Her artistic philosophy is highly influenced by her Buddhist beliefs, meditative practices, and trust in her own discipline and intuition. Her style is ever-evolving and reflects her dedication to pushing boundaries through exploration. She believes the greatest honor of being an artist is being able to generate an abundance of portals for self-discovery through the creative act. In 2020, Natalee received a B.S. in Information Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her professional career includes serving pizza, selling sporting goods, designing digital user experiences at United Airlines, and managing software engineering projects at Microsoft. Currently, she serves delicious meals at Maya Congee Cafe in Brooklyn and spends the rest of the time processing her existence by journaling, playing bass, stargazing, spending time with her cat, smoking on her apartment stoop, collecting objects to scan, and telling every story through her art. While having adopted a cat-like appreciation for running water, the songs of birds, fast-moving lasers, and heating pads, Natalee is now striving to embrace moments of solitude and relaxation as frequently as her feline friends. |
